My story isn’t the most moving, but I’m running out of options. I can only hope that even a few of those reading this may be willing to help.
I have been struggling with bipolar 2, anxiety and panic disorder, and PTSD for a long time, though diagnosed officially 6 years ago. I’ve been through various programs, to various psychiatric facilities, see a therapist every week, and a psychiatrist every few months.
I am working hard on being able to manage it, and to be able to function as well as anyone else. Unfortunately, I have had 15 jobs over the course of the last 6 years because when the episodes hit me, I’m unable to handle it, and lose the job. I’m really close to my music therapy degree, but have had to drop college more than once for the same reason.
Debt and bills are piling up. If I can pay off all the debt, and get my bills under control, that would be a wonderful relief. Medical bills, college loans, rent, utilities, etc.
There’s a mental health program that keeps patients there for a month or two that I believe could be extremely beneficial. They assist in everything from counseling, medication, and cbt/dbt classes to being there to help you learn how to better manage the symptoms and illness within work and school environments with the goal of helping you become a functional member of society. This program does not take insurance, however. It’s private pay and costs $49,000 a month.
I’ve tried a lot. All I want to do is get better, find ways to manage it all that’ll work, and be a functioning person. School can come after things are in order, and then I’ll be able to help others. Between the debt and the program, I’d need between $60,000 and $100,000. But to be honest, right now, I’ll take any help I can get.
The picture is of a screenshot from the website for the cost. I can provide pictures of the bills and debts as well if needed.
I’m sorry for the trouble. Thank you, even for just reading this far.
I hope you have a great day.
