Hi there. My name is Rick. I’m sharing the following in hopes that someone will feel touched/lead to help my wife Sandra and I. Back in 2013 I was working as a caregiver, when I starting experiencing pain in one of my knees. I found out through a series of checkups that I had arthritis in that knee. It wasn’t too much longer in time that I developed arthritis in the other knee. It ended my work career, and I was out of work for one year. Lots of phone calls to work out payments with creditors. My wife was working at that time, thankfully, so we kept up on bills as best we could. I did get disability after some time, and we tried to get caught up on things. Sandra fully retired in June of 2018. So, we come forward to 2018. In December my wife took a fall, within our home, and hit her head into a wall, very hard. I had to have her taken to a local hospital by ambulance. She was then transported to another hospital, to handle her situation. She fractured 2 vertebrae in her neck, and 3 in her upper back. They tried to have bones heal with a long neck/back brace on her for about 4 months. They then did x-rays and found that healing had not happened. 4/26/19 they did the first of 2 major surgeries on her neck, and the 2nd surgery was done on 4/30/19. She was in this hospital for 7 days, then came home. I am the primary caregiver at home, as I was for that 1rst 4 month period. The result so far is that we are paying on 2 different hospital bills, and on an ambulance bill. We have not gotten a total hospital bill, as to her 7-day stay, so that will bring about one more payment. We are trying to keep things paid up but could use some help. I’m also trying to catch up on some credit card balances, as I was out of work for about one year, after I had arthritis, before getting disability. If you can help us, I would greatly appreciate it, and it would be a big blessing to Sandra and I. Thanks in advance.
