My name is George and me and our entire family are only 2 weeks away from being homeless. My mother lost her job as a business analyst 5 weeks ago and then 4 weeks ago I too lost my job. On top of that my mother got into a terrible car accident and lost the car. She ended up having to buy a new car out of thin air in order to continue her search for a new job.
Everything seems to be going down hill and we just can’t seem to get any breaks. My mother has put in over 100 applications for employment. She has even begged catholic churches to give us food to eat because we were making too much money before and so they can’t help us now when we need it most.
I too have put in 73 applications and just can’t seem to find employment. It’s not due to bad behavior or being fired. It’s not due to being a High school drop out or a convict. It’s not due to the fact of having no job experience. They simply never reply back after the initial interview. They have dragged their feet and strung me along saying that I was still in the running only to have yet another week pass with no results.
I am now facing having to sell everything in the house that we can sell in order to keep our roof over our heads, food on the table, and gas in the cars so we can continue our search for employment.
And the saddest thing of all is that my youngest brother just got accepted into Temple University in Toyko, Japan. And we don’t even have enough to cover the holding fee of $360 to keep his spot at the school. We literally are using that money to survive. A once in a lifetime opportunity is being dashed in order to survive.
Why is it when good things happen they are immediately followed by some awful un foreseen disaster that rips it away? Why is it when you honestly need help that charities grow stingy and the government refuses to help you?
If there is anyone out there that sees this and can help in anyway. Even a single $1 I would bless you from the bottom of my heart. You never know how powerful a $1 can be until you are staring at change and thinking, “this might buy me a loaf of bread”.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and may God bless you. <3
