Hello. I’m a 53 year old stay-at- home mom in the middle of a divorce. My husband and I have been married for 27 years and have seven children. After 24 years of marriage, I filed for divorce due to my husband’s, numerous affairs and the growing disrespect that I have received from him, and one of the mothers of the four children that he has father during our marriage. After filing for divorce, he continue to pay the bills in the home for a while. He has now stopped, contributing anything to the household, though he was supposed to do so, until the divorce was final. he has started, pretending that he is barely working in order not to have to pay me anything. I actually found out that he works a 1099 job that can’t be traced. During this time, I have depleted all the money that I had saved. I have also used all of the money that I have borrowed from friends and family members. Due to the fact that I don’t have steady income at this time, our home went into foreclosure, due to delinquent mortgage payments. After a Home was in the process of foreclosure, I had to file for bankruptcy two weeks ago to stop our house from being sold at an auction by the mortgage company. I have a plied for employment with several companies, but have yet to receive an offer for a job. I started working for DoorDash as a way to make some money to help out in the meantime. However, it isn’t enough to pay any bills. I only seem to make enough money to buy some food and gas for the car. My monthly household expenses total $4500. This amount includes the $2166 bankruptcy payment, which is due in two weeks. I really have a desire to make the bankruptcy payments on time. My bankruptcy trustee has stressed the importance of making payments on time, especially the first payment. I am asking for $9000 in contributions to cover at least two months of household expenses while I continue to search for employment. I have been a very generous giver for years and would not ask for the help unless I had already exhausted all of the resources. Please consider helping me and my family.
