Hello I am not one that typically begs, but I have maxed my resources out. In June of 2015, my dad took a loan out to pay off some of his debts. He used his house and 25 acres of land as collateral. Life was normal until March 12, 2017. My dad decided to have surgery on his artery in his neck, the doctor talked dad into having the artery opened and cleaned out since his other artery was clogged. So dad decided to do it. Dad went through surgery good up till recovery. While in recovery dad had a mild stroke causing his right side to be paralyzed. He was placed in ICU. Well we return to see him two days later and before we got to him he had a massive stroke. Dad was put on life support and passed on March 18, 2018 at 3:15am. We get home from the hospital still in shock and before we were able to get my mom inside the house she had went into cardiac arrest and she passed at 10:07am almost seven hours after dad. My sister and I was double shocked not only having to deal with one parent death but two at the same time. It still feels as a dream but its reality. My parents always said they wanted to be buried in on the property in the designated area they had already fenced off because my sisters husband is buried there. So my sister and I were left to deal with the loan dad had taken out. We thought dad had taken insurance out but he never did. We try paying on the loan but our own obligations were getting in the way. Then out of the blue the property was sold under foreclosure right from under us. However, the new owner has worked with us in waiting patiently to buy the property back from him for 150000.00. We have tried numerous attempts with banks and our credit is was stops us from getting help. I dont want to give up this property because dad wanted us to have it and also they are buried on it. I am trying to take my dad’s place in keeping our family together because we all live on the property and I feel like I am fighting a losing battle. I work over 50 hours a week and my income is good. I just need help getting the money to buy back our property.
