My mother has been disabled for approximately 7 years now and all of her back taxes have finally started to catch up to her. The home she resides in with my sister (16years old) was the home she grew up in along with my siblings and she is about to lose the house to county due to her inability to pay off the taxes. My mother has been struggling with trying to keep the house live able and making the taxes. So I am looking to raise $60,000 to cover the back taxes, repairs and for future taxes.
During the winter months she is forced now to run a space heater around the clock to keep the bathroom pipes from freezing. Other issues within the house are the floor boards are breaking, the stairs inside the house have holes in them, the front and back porches you can’t walk on certain sections for fear of the porch collapsing, in three of the bedrooms the ceilings are slowly falling and the windows need to be replaced.
So far I have been doing the best that I can to help, I put myself through college (first in the family to graduate) and I am now just starting to pay off my student loans and was forced to use credit cards to help pay for things around the house.
I am now reaching out for help. I am not one to usually do this but I would loved to surprise and help my mom by catching her up on her taxes, fixing the issues around the house and to possibly give my mom some assistance in the future with her taxes. Any little thing would be greatly appreciated, I just want to help the women who raised me!
