In May of this year I finally purchased my first home at the age of 32. It was a very exciting time for my family and I. We have a 11 year old son as well who was thrilled and loves the new place. Unfortunately about a week after fathers day my fiance’ who ran his own home improvement business had a motorcycle wreck and broke both of his arms leaving him unable to work, not to mention the “work crew” he had at the time decided to leave a clients furniture outside the home when they left for lunch and decided they were just going to take the rest of the day off while we were at an appointment with the orthopedic-surgeon. I’m a full time mommy, work a full time job, as well as cared for him while he wasn’t able to do anything. In the mean time our bills fell behind, and I continue to struggle just to make ends meet. I’ve fallen behind on my light bill, water bill, mortgage payment, and credit cards. My lights actually were disconnected for a week during this time, which cost me almost 500 to have reconnected, and i still owe 400 due today which I just don’t have. We barley have groceries in the house. My fiance’ has returned to work (light duty) Which means we are starting from scratch to rebuild his business name and clients. I have always been a very hard working independent person. I don’t ask for handouts or help very often. Matter of fact, I am usually the one that helps others all the time. I won’t say that this isn’t a little embarrassing and I feel ashamed that I haven’t been able to maintain our home and life as usual. Even my child has been effected by this financial hardship. He was unable to sign up to play basket ball because I couldn’t afford the fees to sign up before the deadline. I am beyond stressed out and worry constantly. I don’t want to lose everything I have worked so very hard for. After deductions I only bring home 360 a week, but that doesn’t cover all our bills let alone groceries, essentials, or anything extra what so ever. If I could just get some help to get back on my feet. Anything will help and I am truly grateful for any help I am offered or given. Thank you in advance.
