The past year has been draining me in every which way. Me and my brother have a house and he fell on hard times financially. He was unemployed for a while and I was carrying most the weight of the mortgage. He hasn’t been able to keep up with life ever since he lost his son a couple years ago. He’s been job hopping trying to catch bills up. Over time our mortgage loan payments became delinquent. They’ve raised mortgage from 1700 to 2000, and then from that on to 2200. I couldn’t keep up with it all I have enough pressure on me as is. I’m the only one who take care of my mother. I’m 22 and she’s 62, but her legs are getting bad from fluid build up making them fat. She can’t drive so I take her everywhere. A lot of folks don’t understand how hard it is to be a young adult taking care of your parent so early. Going from adjusting your schedule for them, to them becoming the schedule. It’s very time consuming, especially at a young age where I haven’t even established myself yet. On top of that, as of right now, my main focus is getting money for CDL school. That’s a perfect way for me to pull in more money quick. I know there’s companies that do paid training, but the train to hire programs contract you to work for them for 1-2 years and you’re most likely driving wherever and whenever they tell you to. I can’t take that deal right now because my mother is fully dependent on me, so I can’t be gone for days and weeks on the road yet. But I can do local CDL work. Not the end goal, but definitely a big step forward. I just need enough wiggle room to get my debts paid off and then I can start buying my time back. And of course… anything helps, thank you for letting me vent-
