I’m a bit desperate at the moment, as my ex MIL tricked me.
Story happened 3 years after me and her son broke up finally. It was a very toxic relationship from their family. I finally moved out from their house, and got on my feet, little did I know this is just the start of their anger. I tried my best to break up with him as peacefully as its possible, but no luck. They hated me for it, but I couldn’t take it anymore living with them. They used me as they could and treated me horribly. As I came to live with them to a foreign country I did not have many choice to move away. But I found my way and I did it.
For 3 years since then I’m living my life peacefully, and now they got back at me. As I’m sharing a house with 4 other, and I’m responsible for the rent for a bit over a year now. I sent it every single month, never been late with it. But now, the Landlord called, that the rent hasn’t been paid. I laughed him off as it was impossible since I know I sent him every month. I called the bank to ask them why my Landlord thinks it hasn’t been paid, and probably it’s a mistake from his side as he has so many houses around. That wasn’t the case. The bank has told me that all of my payment got declined and sent back to the Main account. What I didn’t understand since I never seen the money coming back. Turned out when my Bank account was made by my MIL, she made me a joint Junior account. The transferring was too big amount for a junior account and it got all transferred back to my ex MIL account. As I talked with the bank, they said I signed everything so no one is responsible for this. I can’t contact with her anymore as she blocked me ages ago and I don’t know what to do. I asked the Landlord for a bit of time after constantly apologizing. Legally she is in the right place, and I can’t do anything with that. I’m 25/F working a full time job, but I still wont be able to pay this one year amount of rent, so I would need as much help as possible. I’m trying to take a loan at the mean time. But unfortunately that needs time as well.
Thank you for reading it, and if you can share anything I would appreciate so much.
