Giving and receiving love adds meaning to life. My family over the year’s had been a great source of love to other less fortunate children through fostering. Becoming a foster parent to me means to “nurture”. In Luke 9:23 Jesus says, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me.” Being a foster parent can be challenging at times. But the promise we can hold on to is that our Heavenly Father is faithful and will give us all we need no matter the family circumstances, when we show love to others, we draw closer to God and come to understand His plan. As the Bible teaches, “Let us love one another. We recently got placement for a 5 year old autistic boy who is absolutely brilliant, but who is finding his independence and pushes safety boundaries far more than I would like to admit. Recently he came down with Covid, and I had just started a new job that week, ended up losing that because of the two weeks I had to take off for him, and then we’ll the bills spiraled from there. Payment from DCF does not kick in for a few month’s and it isn’t even a 1/3 of my budget. It’s gas money for the month. Nonetheless, I received an eviction 5 day notice, my car payment is two months behind, my insurance was canceled and my financial state is not as great as I had worked so hard before to get it where it was. On the up-side, I have interviewed with 3 companies within the last week and I’ve narrowed it down to two. I am a professional and just caught a bad break while helping others. Job hunting or interviewing has never been an issue for me, so I’m not worried about the future, but I decided to go on here for the little boy I have plus my own two children that I take care of and now, we were informed that my little foster boys 7, and 10 year old sisters need a placement now! I can’t let these children be separated and the right thing to do is to keep them all together. I am asking for help to do what is right and give me the opportunity to give these children a fair chance by getting my financial status back up to satisfactory so I can be the best foster mom I can be. I need $10,000. $6,000 for past rent. $1,000 for car payment and $3,000 for a third row seating for 5 kids.
This fight we are in takes a village to raise up these babies. I have my tribe and not just need my village…
