Hello, my name is Jordan. Hopefully that’ll make this seem less like a faceless person from across the internet, well, to begin with at least. I guess the main reason I’m here is, I’ve got my back against a wall.
Everything initially started off fine, graduated high school, moved out, and the first few months of starting my adult life were great! Went to school, worked towards getting my certificate in Surgical Technology, even went on a trip to Chicago with friends. However, the problems started cropping up towards the end of December 2018.
First, my student loans didn’t come in with specified leaving me approximately $5000 in the hole. Rent for my apartment eats up around $800 per month, whilst internet racks up another $60. However, I received a call today from the gas and electric company stating that they needed more information from me. Turns out the previous tenant of my apartment never disconnected his card information from the company.
According to the gas and electric company, I now owe them for a period of roughly six months, from move in day August 14th. Rent came out today, which leaves my bank account another $800 in the hole. I have roughly $760 left in my checking account.
With this much left, I’m at a loss for how I’ll pay off the past six months, and additionally pay rent for this upcoming February. I’ve been stressing all day to the point where I haven’t even contemplated my class schedule for this upcoming semester as I’m not sure I’ll be able to stay in my apartment and continue my education.
I really don’t know what to do anymore. I’m certainly not asking for any insane amount or anything of the like. Just enough to get by and get back on my feet. The last thing I want to do is quit halfway to becoming a Surgical Technician, but at this point, it’s beginning to seem like a very probable scenario.
Any amount helps, and there are no words to express how grateful I am to you for reading this, let alone considering my request.
