Temporary job loss just as major crisis strikes family. medical

I’m a hard-working man and Army veteran who has always paid his own way.

I recently lost my income due to a regulatory issue that will take about 6 weeks to resolve. This resolution is compounded by the fact that I am a US citizen born abroad which will require me to request documents and confirmation from the United States department of State.

To make matters worse, major health issues have struck three members of my immediate family. My wife fell last year and had a brain injury and is in declining health as a result. She is now in need of full-time care. My stepson (her son) who has been providing the lines share of that care recently had to have triple bypass heart surgery. I moved to another state to attend to my 91 yo mother who also needs full-time care. The plan was to assemble the entire family here but covid-19 and other financial issues have delayed that process. I now find myself needing to move these invalid family members, nearly 2,000 mi to Arizona where I am currently living. An additional issue has arisen to add even more difficulty. I rent the home that we are currently living in. It has been sold and the new owner wishes to double the rent. Now I have to find another place to live and pay deposits and other expenses associated with that move. The regulatory suspension could not have come out of worse time.

I will be able to go back to work in my sensitive position but my certification issue has to be resolved first. As I have already mentioned, this process will take about 6 weeks perhaps longer. I’m in desperate need of funding to move my family members immediately, and secure housing for them, myself and elderly mother.

I find it awkward to ask for help but so many bizarre issues have a sailed me all at once. Any one of these issues by themselves I might have been able to manage but all of it together is too much. I find myself sitting in a perfect storm and floundering.

Any help that I receive will be appreciated.

The photo is of my 91-year-old mother taken last year when she turned 90. She is now 91. This process requires a photo and I don’t quite know what to add so I present you my brave mother, an army wife for all of her life and a true saint.
