I am a single mother and I take care of my elderly mother too who had brain surgery. I have been working in a community clinic for the past 10 years. I recently lost my job 6 months ago and have been driving Uber and Lyft to make money while I apply for new jobs daily. Its been 6 months already and I have not had any luck getting a new job. I have burned through the little savings I had and Uber is not giving me enough to pay my rent and utilities plus gas and food. This month I was able to pay my rent but now I have nothing left to pay for my electricity and water and car note and food. I have not had any luck getting government assistance. Just last week I had money stolen from me when I thought I was helping a young lady by lending her my phone to make a phone call. I later found out she transferred money from my Cash App to her account. and Cash App is denying my dispute to get my money back. This summer is really hard.
I hope I get an interview and job soon because its getting scary now and I don’t want to go homeless.
