I am a father of two adopted girls and have transitioned to starting my career as a therapist. Money is tight starting in that field before licensure. Aside from this my oldest adopted daughter has a challenging diagnosis of Dissociative Identity Disorder. It is hard to treat and her mental health needs are extreme. We decided to travel from New York to Michigan by car to meet with a professional who specializes in intensive treatment for her diagnosis. We had to shell out significant amounts of money between travel, airbnbs, and the cost of treatment. It has left our family struggling to pay the bills and catch up for Christmas. We could really use the support to get back to a healthy equilibrium.
