Due to regulations set by the Department of Transportation (DOT) and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), I am currently prohibited from driving commercially for at least one year. This unforeseen circumstance has left me without a stable income and facing significant financial challenges.
As soon as I lost my job, I utilized the limited savings I had to pay off or reduce as many bills as possible, hoping to weather the storm until I could regain employment. Unfortunately, finding new employment has taken longer than anticipated, leaving me and my wife in a dire situation. We have been relying on credit cards to support ourselves, and they are now close to, or in some cases, over their limits.
The mounting financial strain has put our home at risk of foreclosure, and we are facing the imminent disconnection of essential utilities, including electricity. Additionally, our vehicle insurance is on the verge of cancellation, leaving us without reliable transportation. The situation has become even more critical as we are running out of food, struggling to meet our basic needs.
Recently, I have been offered a new job opportunity, which brings a glimmer of hope. However, it will take some time to get started, and the immediate financial burdens we face are overwhelming. I am reaching out to you today, as a person or organization known for their generosity and commitment to helping those in need, in the hopes that you might consider extending a helping hand during this critical period.
