Where to start…My life is a bit upside down right now. I graduated from college in 2009 with a degree in psychology. A year out of college I took a job as a soccer coach with the university I graduated from. I spent 7 years working at the university before being let go due to the university having financial struggles.
That’s when the rough part hit. I was working with a farm product store in the mornings and a soccer club in the evenings. Along with working two jobs I then took on taking care of my two nieces due to by dad and my sister having drug problems. I ended up having to pay for my nieces to live for one year and for my dad’s rehab from his drug addiction. Along with those payments I was making payments for my car, car insurance, medical insurance, rent, utilities, and living cost. This year drained all of my financial stability. Even with working two jobs I could not keep up with having to take care of two kids along with my dad.
I had to make some hard decisions which included cutting ties with my family because I was quickly losing the ability to be able to take care of myself. My family wasn’t willing to better themselves so I had to make the decision to refuse help if they were going to continue to take my finances and not try to change.
I accepted a full time job with the soccer club in my community over the past year and am now over 300 youth within my community. It is an exciting yet nerve racking job knowing I have the opportunity to impact their lives everyday. This is definitely not a job that is going to make me rich but it is an opportunity to impact the future of the community I live in. I do believe once I get out of the debt I am currently in that I will be able to move forward with the life I have of impacting the youth in front of me while be able to provide for myself.
I am currently $10,000 in debt and am asking for help. It has been really hard for me to type this as I don’t want it to be a poor me story. I know people have life much harder than I do. I am in a place that I need help. Any help given is appreciated. I want to thank you for taking time to read this and any consideration you might give.
