Okay so I’m really nervous to make this post but I have no idea what else to do at this point. In November my fiancé lost his job through no fault of his own and hasn’t been able to get another one even though he’s been applying constantly. Whilst he is still consistently looking for work I am currently unable to look for work due to having Asperger’s Syndrome and having difficulty with my pregnancy when I was in the first trimester which resulted in me being in the hospital. I am currently 15 weeks 5 days pregnant and we rent our house. We get a small amount of money from the government but it doesn’t even cover half of our bills. Due to this every month we get more and more behind. This has left us in thousands of pounds of debt. I’m struggling to buy food so that I can eat healthily for the growing baby inside me and I’m terrified of not being able to provide for my baby when they’re born in September. Not having the guarantee that we will keep our home so they have somewhere safe if the worst thought when I should be looking forward to having my first child. We can’t afford for me to pay for basic pregnancy necessities like maternity clothes, bras that actually fit, vitamins etc and we desperately need to catch up on all of our bills which we are roughly now £3000 in debt with. I have 0.64p in my bank and won’t be receiving any money any time soon. We have a loan which has been put in the hands of our guarantor who we have to pay back and are facing the risk of prosecution from being unable to pay our council tax. All of this is the last thing anyone needs whilst pregnant and we have no family or friends who are in a position to help. As we receive £300 a month to feed both myself and my partner as well as pay all of our bills we are not even entitled to a food bank. I would love to believe that my partner will find work soon but as he isn’t even being offered any interviews I struggle to see that happening. This is a last ditch plea for help from anyone who is reading this. Any help anyone could give would be so gratefully received and help make sure our unborn baby will have a stable and safe start in life. Thank you for reading.
