My name is Aurin, and I’ve been starting out as a streamer lately. I stream mostly on Twitch, though I’m seeing how that goes before deciding if I stay there or switch to using Youtube as my primary streaming platform. I haven’t been able to stream much lately because I’ve been very stressed and trying to scrape together whatever money that I can. Until now I’ve been driving for Uber, pretty much the only job I can really do because I’m disabled. I have ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and cavus foot, which makes standing for long periods of time uncomfortable, if not downright agonizing, which eliminates a lot of jobs for me. I was a cashier at a local supermarket when I was younger and only lasted a week because of that, so that’s not a thing I can do.
Unfortunately, gas prices have gotten to the point where (combined with the ongoing pandemic) I can’t make the money I need to make to pay my bills anymore. I live with family, so my only bills are my own. But the bills I *do* have outstrip what I’m able to generate in income, and the biggest bills are ones I can’t just stop paying; my car payment and car insurance payment, which together make up 70% of my monthly bills.
I’m asking for help paying these bills, as well as to put together an emergency fund and also money to upgrade my gear, including a decent gaming chair, a new gaming desk, a good second monitor (the one I’m using right now is a handed-down 12-year-old Dell widescreen, which has crappy color and resolution.), and maybe a desktop gaming/streaming rig. Also I would like to help out my mom with her own bills, especially heating oil, and to maybe replace her old washing machine. But my first priority is making sure my bills are paid. I won’t be inactive though, I’ll be (and already have been) looking for a decent work-from-home job, preferably a chat support job.
And in the unlikely event I exceed the money for all of that stuff, at least 50% of the money remaining after I stop this campaign would be donated to Project Hope to help the Ukrainian people, with proof of doing so provided in an update.
TLDR: I’m a jobless, disabled streamer struggling to pay bills, and need money to do that plus upgrade my equipment and build an emergency fund. At least 50% of anything left over will be donated (with proof) to Project Hope.
