Hello ! I’m looking for some help for this crazy ( Bad ) situation I’m in. Hoping to raise $3500. Last year in the month of september i went into a bookstore 15 – 20 minutes before closing. I looked around in this little area they have ( You can borrow a book or DVD or CD etc ) for maybe 5 minutes the most because I knew what dvd I wanted to get so I grabbed it an preceded to the front counter to take out the disc. So I hand over the DVD she processed the disc and off I went. Now almost 1 year later to the day I was in the book place the mailman knocks on my door where I live for me to sign for a letter so I sign and then open the letter. I look at the heading and it says **** magistrate office. So I start reading and it says on the day 1 year ago in the book place that I dropped a little clear bag and that inside of it was some illegal substance. So the next day they (Book Place) called local police and they tested it an said it tested positive for a illegal substance and the people in the place said it had to be mine because I was the last one in the place and that it wasn’t there before. Like there always looking and scanning the floor for little clear plastic bags but I do know that there all always looking for some type of gossip so they have something to talk about and spread it around town. That’s fact. I’ve come to learn that little older women love to gossip and spread it around . I find all this pretty nuts ! Especially after I kept on going there a whole year after them saying that and they acted like nothing ever happened and they acted like they were my friend to me. Plus I even would clean up around there and take garbage out for them. I don’t know how many times I plunged the restroom toilet for them. They really stabbed me in the back. They knew me well enough to ask me about it or even ask to see if I needed any help but they didn’t they rather see a innocent person or someone get in trouble an get there life screwed up so there saying I must have dropped it 1 year later and they waited a day to call police. Even if it was mine which it’s not I can’t remember or I don’t think anyone could remember what they done a year ago. And to top it off they had me convicted because they offered me 1 year probation. It sounds to me that there looking to pin it on anyone which is me and the courts just wants money. So I know if I use a public defender that I might as well sign the probation letter an take the year probation. But with a private attorney I believe he’ll fight for my innocents. So I’m looking for help. I’m in my sixty’s and I’m out of work with a bad back. Herniated discs have caught up with me and it’s not easy walking never mind working. I do house, apartment remodeling so alot of bending over which I have trouble getting back up to a standing position.
I’ve sold my car so I could have some money ( Have around $ 500 put aside which I’ll put towards what I can raise ) but now I’m starting to get some benefits that out of work people qualify for. Like helping with a rent voucher, with food plus I go to the local pantry once a month. But for any reason I get even probation I would lose all benefits and then I’ll be homeless so nothing against public defender’s but they have such a big work load I hear that I won’t get the attention this case needs to prove I’m innocent and be thrown out or dropped which is what I’m looking for. I think it’s obsured trying to say it’s probably mine because I was the last one in the place which I don’t know how true that is. And anyone could have tampered with what they found since they waited a whole night and half the next day. So I’m hoping that I could get some help. I know these are trying times and I really don’t like asking but things will start spiraling out of control if convicted of this misdemeanor so anything would be appreciated .
