Hello, my name is Ivy and this is my story. A little more than 2 months ago I got in a really bad car accident. My car slipped on black ice causing it to slide across the highway over 30 yards until barreling off the side of the road into a rocky hill and through a memorial site for a child. I felt so awful, my car was absolutely obliterated, and I ended up having to spend all my savings on the tow truck alone as my car was far behind a guard rail and about 45 minutes out of town. I also would love to fix the memorial summer day.. Because of this wreck I had to leave my job as it was an hours commute from my house. I spent what little money I had left getting rides for my last two weeks. I found a new job and started immediately following my last day but it was a good three weeks after that until I got payed which all went to my rent which was very past due and had occurred many late charges. By this time I found out the damaged on my car were going to cost over $6000 to get fixed so I let them keep the car because obviously I could not afford that. I got another full check and was able to buy groceries then my manager got COVID and got a bunch of us sick and I had to miss 10 days for that. Immediately following that I had to drop everything and travel across the country to take care of my dying grandmother. I ended up having to spend most all the rest of my money on gas getting there and back and medical for my grandmother. I have since gotten back and am in a massive struggle I have my phone bill which has been shut off for three days now, rent, and groceries as it’s been days since I’ve been able to eat more than some grapes (all I could afford that could feed me long term) and I won’t be able to afford my rent until mid next month at which point it will have occurred so many late fees I won’t be able to afford it any more.. Additionally I have to move in mid July which I also don’t have any funds for. So I suppose all I’m really asking for is the $800 to pay my rent but if I could get up to around $5000 that would get me stable and able to get groceries and a new place to live in a month and a half.
