Hi my name is Richard Eckstein and I just cannot get a break. Back in 2015 I filed for disability. I am still fighting for it. I have no money coming in, and no insurance. My husband is on disability, but only brings in $1,100. a month. Needless to say that has to cover rent, utilities, car payment, food, and internet. The phone is the only way I can communicate with my attorney. Not having a computer or printer limits certain things as well.
Getting my prescriptions depends on how much the bills are per month. At the moment, I am struggling to get my Epilepsy medications. I can only take name brand Dilantin to control my seizures. And that alone costs $200. a month for that medication. The one hundred milligram alone is $150. for a bottle of 100. And I take 4 pills a day. Not to mention a chewable 50 mg dose. The generic Dilantin causes me to have seizures. In May this past year I had 4 seizures in one day. I spent a week in the hospital and still do not remember any of it. I no longer can afford my depression medication, nor my blood pressure or cholesterol medications.
Back in December of 2018 our AT&T account was hacked and there was an additional $2,000. charged on our account. We caught it right away, informed them, but they decided to carry it out 6 weeks, then tell us it was our fault. They closed the account and said never come back to them again. Like we planned on it. The same month our bank account was frauded and we lost out on $800. Again they saw nothing wrong on their part, yet they saw nothing suspicious with a check for over $900,000. being deposited and the name on the check was not spelled correctly and was deposited inside the bank. The teller would have needed our ID to access that account, not to mention the red flags that should have went up.
But again, the bank said it was no fault of their own.
I do not want this plea to go on forever, but just let me add Scott and I changed banks and accounts twice after that and the same thing happened each time. Finally things got straightened out in mid 2019. We ended up being shorted around $2,500 in a 5 month period. Money we never received back, therefore bills were not paid.
We are asking, begging, pleading for financial help from you fine people and are hoping to raise $750.00. At this point, that amount would be a blessing. It may not sound like a lot, but would get us caught up, and give us just a little extra in our wallet. We have done what we could do so far, and are now pretty much at rock bottom. We cannot afford gas in the car much less groceries. At 61, I do my best to walk to the post office in 100 degree heat. Scott cannot even walk one block due to his disabilities.
So please good people out there, please find it in your hearts to help us.
Please keep me in your prayers if you would, I have a disability hearing at the end of September.
Thank you and God Bless you all.
