My name is Olivia and I work as a Utilities Designer Trainee for an Engineering, Construction and Consulting Company in Maryland. I am happily married with three beautiful children in a small townhouse located n the outskirts of Baltimore. I hope to relocate someday to a suburban area with a big backyard for my kids to run around it. am resorting to begging in order to meet the needs of my family.
Please, if you are reading this, I am desperate for any kind of help. I find it incredibly embarrassing that even though I work 40+ hours a week, I still cannot provide everything for my family.
My son, Connor, was just two days ago declared in Full Remission after an entire year of chemotherapy for treatment of Acute Megakyroblastic Leukemia from 2018 to 2019.) When the doctor first told my husband and I the news, I nearly burst into tears thinking about the countless nights my son spent in that hospital with all those tubes plugged into his tiny body. He was not one years old when he began treatment, but has proven to be a stronger child than I had ever hoped. The staff at Johns Hopkins Hospital were more than generous, they stayed with my son during the minutes my husband and I would switch shifts staying with him. They even hooked up our game system to the TV in his room so that he could watch movies and see us playing our games to distract him from the tubes sticking out from his hand and back. I will always be grateful for his life and that of my oldest son and infant daughter. We were able to pay off some of my son’s medical bills thanks to the Stimulus Checks issued to us in April, but continue to struggle in other areas.
In the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, I went into maternity leave after having our only daughter. The very next week, however, my husband was laid off from his job for the second time since the start of the pandemic. He was told that it was only temporary with the prospect of returning “soon”, but he was never given a definite return date. I do not know where else to turn. Our cell phones have been cut off, we owe a tremendous amount on our Gas and Electric bill and have very little income to speak of. It is overwhelming how quickly bills can pile up in such a short amount of time. We have managed to keep up on our rent, car note, insurance, and even managed to keep food in the pantry. We have no family in the position to loan us any sort of financial assistance and with a tarnished credit history, can never hope to be approved for a loan at this time.
I have resorted to this site in hopes that some kind person, with the means to, will extend a helping hand to my family. We would be forever indebted to you.
God Bless you for just reading my story.
