Hello to those who are servicing charitable donations. I am truly grateful for your organization and hopefully for the help that I’m asking for in this time of need which has been the hardest that I have had.
You want me to explain my situation so here it is. Almost 20 years ago, I injured myself while doing landscaping work on a 600 acre racehorse property. The owner was a very wealthy businessman who traveled all over the world to oversee all of his businesses. There were several mansions on the property as well as some farmhouses. It was my job to plant and take care of a lot of flower gardens. I was also in charge of the green house where I grew and took care of flowers and other plants.
One day I lifted quite a few large tropical plants into the greenhouse and I also planted roughly 200 flowers. When I got home a terrible pain went down my leg and I could hardly walk around. The next day I went back to work and my boss instantly noticed that I was limping around and asked me what was wrong. I told him about how I had a terrible pain in my back and it traveled down my leg. He told me to go to the Doctor and gave me my insurance information.
Well that was the last time I saw him, and I was diagnosed with a herniated disc in my neck and one in my lower back that was bulging out and pressing on my sciatic nerve which traveled down my leg. The doctor wanted to do surgery on me but I refused because everyone I talked to that had surgery said that they were worse afterwards. I could only keep my head up for about 4 hours a day because it felt like there was a bowling ball on top of my head. I found out about 2 doctors who were married and did great procedures with cortisone injections on the neck. I had them give me a cortisone injection in my neck and miraculously I had no more problems.
But I tried everything with my back, cortisone injections, chiropractors, physical therapy and nothing helped. I was left with this horrible pain in my back and down my leg and it was awful. Finally I gave in and went to a pain clinic and started taking pain medications. It brought me relief but I couldn’t return to work. I had a long background in the graphic arts industry for more than 20 years but the pain and medication took up too much of my attention and it made me groggy so I was able to get on Social Security Disability and today I am still collecting it.
I am past 400 words so I will ask you what I have contacted you for. It’s not even the middle of the month and I’m almost out of money. I have an overdue cable and internet bill of $400 and a past due xfinity mobile bill of $150 and about $250 worth of groceries and other needs which totals $800. I know that it sounds like a lot to me, but really anything that you could afford to give me would be great.
With My Sincere Thanks,
Elizabeth
