I hope this message finds everyone well. I am reaching out to you today to request your assistance with a pressing matter that my family and I currently find ourselves in. Our situation has become quite dire, and we are in need of financial support to cover several crucial expenses.
To give you some context, on May 1st, I experienced excruciating pain due to a ruptured disc in my spine. Unfortunately, I had to wait until May 23rd to see a neurologist as my previous one had relocated. Those 22 days of suffering were unbearable, as I sought help from various healthcare professionals without success.
Upon visiting a new neurologist on May 23rd, an MRI was scheduled for May 31st. The results, which I received on June 7th, revealed the need for two spinal surgeries. The surgeon, in hurry to depart on a trip, called me from the airport to inform me that one of the surgeries would take place on June 19th and the other on June 20th. I am immensely grateful for his swift response, though naturally, the fear of undergoing such invasive procedures is overwhelming.
As a result of these surgeries, my doctor has advised a minimum 12-week recovery period, rendering me unable to work during this time. My dedicated husband is doing his utmost to support us, working long hours and volunteering for overtime whenever possible. However, despite his efforts, our loss of income has put us in a precarious situation. We are now facing disconnection of our water supply and electricity, behind on our house payments by two months, unable to pay the sales tax on our truck, and struggling with purchasing necessary medication and groceries. We have even resorted to skipping meals to extend our limited food supply.
Regrettably, we do not qualify for any existing assistance programs due to our income exceeding the threshold by just above $100. The reality is that we are in danger of losing everything we have worked tirelessly for unless we turn to others for help. I cannot express enough how difficult it is for us to reach out and ask for assistance, but we are left with no other viable options.
Our current circumstances have also had a significant impact on my mental well-being, leading to post-surgical depression. It is a heavy burden to bear, especially when I know I have done nothing wrong. However, I am hopeful that with the support of compassionate individuals like yourself, we can weather this storm and regain stability in our lives.
