Please help. My sweet Macy, the Bichon, 13, needed an emergency vet trip last week & I had to take the funds out of rent money. I thought she had a stroke but she was diagnosed with Vestibular disease. The bill was $300. Her re-check appt. Is next week , which is going to be about $100. I live in the city & don’t have a car, so the UberPet trip is $30 round trip.
My Poodle, Beckham is 6 & is due for his check-up. His eyes don’t make tears & he has a recurring skin condition in the summer that he needs new meds & scripts for. I can’t afford the appointment for him. It’s normally about $250.
I still have to get their next 6 mo’s heartworm prevention (sentinel). It’s cheapest thru Chewy. My other Chewy needs are the daily eye drops, salve & wipes. So, our Chewy total would be $180.
And last, I order their CBD oil through Amazon. Hers is for arthritis & his is for allergies. The month total is $60.
Some of this I would be able to do on my own but I haven’t been able to save back any money for hurricane season, which is always a couple hundred. Usually, whatever’s left over goes to November bills.
None of this is for me. I just want my furkids to have what they need. I don’t have any kids. No other help. Just me trying to get it all done. My dad always helped with this stuff but he passed in February. I’m actually just asking for some breathing room.
I’ve had to move twice during covid & I can’t catch a break this year. To top it off, I haven’t received not one stimulus check.
Macy had skin cancer last summer & survived that. Then she had her teeth done & survived that. She’s happy to keep on keeping on with her carprofen & CBD oil daily. This last illness threw me for a loop but the vet said it happens to alot of older dogs, all of a sudden.
