I currently live in a different country from my dad and sister due to some parent divorce issues. I haven’t seen my dad and sister in 5 years and recently I have found out my sister is going through a really tough time. I would really like to go over to Australia (the country my dad and sister live) to be able to see them for the first time in a while and to help my sister feel a little better. I currently live in the UK with my mother and shes looking after me but is struggling to financially support us and as a result Is unable to help me pay for a plane ticket. My dad is on his pension because he had to retire early from the navy due to having Parkinson’s. Our family dog which we’ve had since I was 6 is still alive and living with my dad and sister, but I fear she doesn’t have much time left as shes getting very old.
I’m going to be on summer break from university soon and I know i’ll be unable to make enough money from my part time job to afford the trip. My cousin who also lives in Australia is having a wedding that I would be able to addend if I went in the break and I feel that would be the perfect time for me to go. I would be able to see my dog who has been one of my best friends for the last time, I could help my dad with some tasks he probably hasn’t been able to do due to his Parkinson’s disease, I could reunite with all my family over there and attend the wedding and most in importantly to me, I could help support me sister. My sister is older than me and has been someone I’ve always looked up to and recently she’s found out she has a Pancreas disease that is stressing her out and is likely to become a serious issue.
I’m only looking to receive around £1000 to help cover my expenses to be able to make it over to Australia
Thank you for taking to time to read my story and If you could help me out financially in anyway I just want you to know that I really appreciate it.
