My glasses – that I wear at the picture, have gone broken, loosing a glass. I depend very much on wearing my glasses, otherwise I cannot see objects close to me, can’t read or see a phone. They are a couple of years old, have middle strong glasses with gliding effect, so that I can read in front of me and also see things at distance.
I’m now wearing my old glasses, so that I can maintain my work as a nurse in a nursing home for elderly people. But it means, that I’m overexerting my eyes and suffer from neckpain and headache almost everyday.
You ask – you are a nurse, have work – why don’t you buy new ones? Well – the crisis after Ukraine got under attack means that I just cannot afford it – everything has become so expensive. And not enough – my partner was hit by a stroke in December 2022, has no income now, and is tied up in a wheelchair. And medical cost… I’m already working extra shifts to earn just enough for rent, payments etc. But I simply cannot work so much, that it makes it possible to have money left over for new glasses.
It would mean a lot to me, if I could go and get new glasses – the one gone broken cost around 8000 Danish Kroner – which is around 1100 € or 1170 USD – because of my speciel glasses to correct my sight. I fear, that the price has gone somewhat up like every thing else, so a wish is to collect like 1500 € or 1640 USD. Please Please Help me.
