I stumbled upon this website when researching crowdfunding sites. I want to publish a “Gofundme” fundraiser but I am nervous to take that step in front of my family and friends. My situation is becoming dire and I need help.
I am asking for money to help me get out of debt. I am asking for you to read this to help me change my life.
Currently, I pay more than half my monthly income on my bills, about $1,450, not even including rent, utilities, gas, or food.
I have student loan debt that my parents never even considered helping me with. After cosigning for one year of school, my parents didn’t want to cosign for another loan and I had to drop out of school. I worked labor-intensive jobs because I didn’t have a degree, as a small, 5’0” female that was tough on my body until I was able to sign up for school independently without a cosigner at the age of 26.
Getting by for seven years after dropping out of school wasn’t easy. I racked up credit card debt buying groceries and things I needed to get by, but also things I didn’t always need because sometimes I just wanted to feel normal and go out with my friends.
That being said, I have a great deal of debt and I am having a hard time getting a personal loan to buy a trailer to live in. I am constantly being denied because of my revolving money. As soon as I earn money it goes to bills and my bills are high, so of course, I have revolving money. My boyfriend and I are trying to find an older Airstream to buy and live off-grid. To try to save on our living situation, we live with someone who is overcharging us for an unfinished room, which we didn’t know about before moving out to California.
On top of all this commotion, I couldn’t even afford to ship out my Honda Civic because the prices were too crazy high. So, now I also have to come up with the money to drive my Honda Civic from TN to CA. The flight, unfortunately, had to be put on my credit card (which I have been trying not to use in order to pay it off slowly) because I cannot stay in this house alone without a car as my boyfriend guides overnight trips. The man we live with is crazy and I feel uncomfortable living here, so I need my car, which I have paid off, to escape.
Any amount of money would help me.
I have:
$25,000 in credit card debt.
$40,000 in private student loans
$44,000 in federal student loans
All that being said is I owe $109k. *Insert anxiety here*
Anything I could get extra for a trailer would be amazing, we are trying to get a loan for $25,000. I am fine trying to get a loan for this amount once I am able, but for now, my monthly bills are killing me.
I’m not sure if this works, I hope there is someone out there reading this and wants to help me.
Just know you would change my life.
I’m not trying to quit my job; all I am trying to do is have help with my debt so I can save money. Instead of suffering every month, not saving and dipping into my little savings, which is down to almost nothing just to get by.
