July 5th we were served Eviction papers for being behind. This was a new property manager the place had just been bought out mid-May.
My family had lived there nearly 3 years. We attempted mediation during our court hearing with one week to go to ucan in hopes for financial support. Turns out ucan was not in the position to help at the time but on that Monday I called my landlord and explained that my mom would assist with the funds but I wanted to try St. Vincent De Paul on Wednesday. They are only open Monday and Wednesday from 10am -2pm. being it was too late that Monday I had to go Wednesday and the landlord was nice about it and told me “no problem ” so on Wednesday I called her again and received her voice-mail. I had received 400.00 from St. Vincent to go towards my back rent but I could not get to her office I wanted to know how she wanted me to get her the balance owed. The next morning at 8am I called her again and said “I’m on my way to your office right now I was able to get funding from them yesterday and I tried to call but got your voice-mail”. This is when everything changes. She tells me it’s too late I’ve already sent it in.
Our next court appearance in about a month later because I’m trying to fight this being I feel she told me to go to St.Vincents knowing it would be two days past our initial agreement. She knew I had the money that Monday and could be there but she mislead me instead. And of course she stands up and lies in court to the judge claiming she never told me that. In my defense I say why would I go and get the support if she told me no” it makes no sense. Because it doesn’t make any sense why waste the time and get a check I literally can do nothing with at that point.
The judge rules in her favor and I’m in disbelief completely shocked. But this is nothing compared to what’s to come. I’m going to move through up until now rather quickly I’m not gonna leave any of the disgusting illegal acts of just complete disregard for another’s welfare out.. it’s just downright cruel and appalling.
The cops come at 9pm give me 20mins to leave while I’m holding my 3 year old. Landlord is supposed to secure my property thst means all the stuff outside put inside where nothing can be stolen. She says from that moment forward they are responsible for my property. This finally happens the next day around 5pm as my dad drives by to witness. Their idea of secure is putting one screw in my front and back door one misses completely. Oh and I’m trespassed at 9pm the night before. I can’t go back on the property or I go to jail. But no one is there while my stuff is ransacked and stolen cuz you probably saw that coming. But then a week later I still have yet to be allowed back on property to get my belongings here comes a car at about 3am that wrecks into my 5th wheel and throws it off its Jack’s off its frame I mean totals it. My neighbor calls and sends me pictures. But nope I can’t go there so landlord does the police report and tells me that the park is responsible because it’s in their possession. She trespasses the owner of the car so they can’t move there car so I can’t move my 5th wheel mind you I have 2 cars there as well. So I haven’t been able to get anything as of yet its been about 10 days now she tells me she’ll have the car towed the following Tuesday which would be day 16. That day comes and goes car remains.
Day 18 she allows me 1 hour and 30 minutes to come get clothes and any personal things I really need. Car is still there. Mind you all I should have to do is hook my 5th wheel up and go I should have to move anything out of my trailer. And I haven’t mentioned I am completely homeless now my daughter is staying with her Nana and my other half and I we are out on the street no where to sleep can’t even get our car to sleep in cuz the clutch was in the process of being replaced and my car literally has the motor pulled and the tranny sitting on the ground people working on it the day the cop comes to trespass me. Day 20 I call and request the name of the insurance company the claim number and all that info she tells me well it’s whoever your insurance is. Yep now it’s my insurance before it was their insurance and that’s why they did the police report and trespassed the owner wouldn’t let them tow their own car worried it would cause more damage. At this point I’m messaging her and calling her daily what’s going on I need my things. My neighbor over hears her telling another neighbor she plans to have my cars towed and my 5th wheel demolished this is day 24. So of course I’m blowing uo her phone . I call from a different number finally get through. She tells me she’s busy call back a week from that day but her plan is for Tuesday 4 days for my phone call. My neighbor sends me pictures of a paper posted to my car it reads owner/unknown property/abandoned not even the case illegal. Day 30 she sells the car that hit my 5th wheel for 500$ without the owners knowledge. And she does this because now 30 days have passed and she can say I never came for my property and legally 30 days she can say it was abandoned and stake claim to it. Meaning her insurance won’t have to pay for anything. I’m still calling multiple times a day we are able to get one car out without her permission a buddy just goes and takes it .I’m telling her this is illegal she can’t do this why would she do this not able to understand why I tell her I’m coming back for my car 2 days later my car is gone she sells it for 500$ to the neighbors brother. So now it’s been 38 days homeless and I’m still no closer to having my daughter come home because I have no home. Today she demolished my 5th wheel and robbed me of everything I owned.
