Hello and greetings to all that have taken the time to be so caring as to visit this post.
I will try and explain the situation as best as possible however it is a long story condensed.
Yesterday my father randomly started cold sweats and suddenly began hyperventilating with a pain in his chest, luckily we got him to accident and emergency as an hour after he arrived the nurse explained they believed he was having a heart attack and stated they were 99% sure it was exactly that.
Next thing we knew he said he was going dizzy 3 times and his eyes rolled to the back of his head, I froze but pointed to the bed he was in and the nurse came running over with her colleagues, they took us to the day room while they performed resuscitation and luckily they managed to (in their words) “bring him back”.
He was then transferred via blue lights to a different hospital which had better equipment to deal with cardiac issues.
By the time we arrived he was already in theatre and was brought out after a few hours with the operation being so far successful.
Previous to this a few weeks back he was rushed to hospital after a groinal hernia ruptured which saw him admitted for a while.
Previous to that he was rushed to hospital after his blood pressure dropped significantly lower than average which is what seemed to have kicked all this off.
My father has been a brilliant man through his life and has gone the extra mile for all of his customers (he is a property maintenance technician aka window cleaner/UPVC restoration/tree surgeon/ gutter repair and so on), he really has dedicated his time to making others happy and this in turn has made him happy.
I am here today to try and get some help for a few things I will state them below:
1. I would love to be able to book him a holiday to his favourite island in Greece – Kefalonia, I think after all this a voucher for TUI would be the medicine he needs plus would give him motivation to continue getting better.
2. Help to procure items to keep him comfortable and aid his recovery.
3. Help towards expenses such as hospital costs, transportation to and from the hospital, bringing in decent food, magazines and TV cards to help him pass the time ect.
4. With him being self employed it goes without saying that he has not made an income for a few months and he is to sick to be able to go through the sicknesses benefit process I.e interviews and paperwork.
As you can see this year has not been his year at all, he’s been suffering for months and has had no ability to work, i really do believe that any help would be so so much greatly appreciated, I am disabled myself and I don’t get anywhere near the amount of benefits I should get compared to others but I won’t go into that, it just hurts that my father who has gone and done so much for me and all he encounters and I can’t fund the things that would be the difference between him keeping a optimistic outlook and spiraling into depression.
Any amount of donations are welcome even a penny is valued.
Ideally the goal is around a couple of thousand but as stated any amount will be great help.
Thank you so much for reading this and I really do wish you and all that you cherish the best going forward.
