I usually don’t do things like this, but I am out of options completely. As you all know, COVID has affected a lot of people this year. But, my issue is a little different.
I work in a very small town, get paid minimum wage. I have a pretty good deal, living with a friend and all. But unfortunately, I ran into a major health problem at the beginning of the year.
I noticed I started to feel off balance back in January. It went on for a few weeks, until I finally couldn’t take it anymore. Went to the ER, only to get told that this was possibly vestibular neuritis, which is basically the flu in your ear. I was laid up for weeks. Falling behind on bills. Finally, got to the point where I decided maybe an ENT was the best choice. I visited with one, she prescribed me medication that did help. But it only went away for about a month. Randomly came back one day. I was very upset. This may seem like something minor, but put it this way. I’m 24 years old and can barely walk around. I have to hold onto things as I’m walking. Or lean on a cart in the store. Walking is my worst enemy right now. So after it came back I was sent to neurology. I’ve had an MRI done, more meds. Nothings working. I have another MRI scheduled soon, in hopes she can pick something up a second time around. With all that being said, I am 2 months late on my rent. I owe about 700. Not to mention my large medical bill. Insurance won’t cover it all.
As I mentioned, I hate asking for money. It’s not something I do very often. But I’m unfortunately still waiting on my Federal Tax return. It’s been extremely difficult trying to get by and my family unfortunately is not wealthy either, so they can’t help me out.
I don’t know how long I will be out of work. This could be super serious or something I may need physical therapy for. As I’ve mentioned though, I’m extremely behind on bills. I haven’t been myself because I’m so stressed out about it. I know I live with my friend but she can only go without my rent for so long and even then I have to make up for it later.
My goal would be around 700. As I mentioned I appreciate any help anyone can offer. This is extremely frustrating.
Anything is incredibly appreciated. As I’ve said, I don’t like doing these types of things, but I unfortunately did receive a doctors note to give to my boss to not return to work until this issue has been taken care of. Thank you for reading, and I hope you have it in your hearts to help me out a little bit.
Much love to all!
