My name is Sarah im 24 from Tucson Az. My sister (Brenda,21) and I live together in an apartment along with her 2 children both under the age of 5. Since the pandemic started my sister worked at family dollar and thats where we believe she first became infected with Covid-19 so we both quit our jobs in order to quarantine i took care of her she got better then it was my turn and i became sick with covid. Fortunately for us the children never seemed to get sick but still till this day we’ll since the beginning of this month we are still testing postive for Covid even though neither of us are having any symptoms we have been having such a hard time finding legit online work from home jobs.we are facing an eviction our apartment complex have came Under New Management and to be honest it’s a low income apartment but the new management is trying to change that they’re upgrading everything and we feel like they’re trying to get rid of all the old tenants including us of course our bill has racked up almost $6,000 including fees we definitely apply for the eviction prevention program here in Pima County and we were determined eligible for it but they are so backlogged and they haven’t even started helping people yet we are supposedly in the first of three tears to be helped but it could take another couple months to even get to us and the management doesn’t seem to want to give us a time of day to even hear us out they don’t return our calls and they just keep leaving notices on our door without even knocking we are scared to become homeless we were both adopted my sister when she was 3 years old and I was 7 years old but the relationship with our adopted parents pretty much ended when i turned 18 and my sister came out and told us that our adopted “father” had been molesting her since she could remember he went to prison of course no where near the amount of time he should have got he only did 5 years and is already out. I moved out at 18 and eventually my sister ran away to come live with me and we have been on our own since. So we dont have any family to help us or take us in its up to us to take care of ourselves and Maria & Malachi (my sisters babies) who really have no one but us and we cant let them down. So I know that we are dramatically behind on rent but the program in our county offers to pay ALL owed rent plus 3 months in advance so we are really just trying to come up with any kind of money to give our management and hope that they will lighten up and be patient with us so anything you can do for us would be greatly appreciated God bless you
