Hello, I would put a picture on here, but because of privacy I can’t put a picture of my medical bill and shoulder (which is slightly purple). Your probably wondering why I put this underneath ‘Emergency’ instead of ‘Medical Bills.’ I was to by my surgeon and doctor, that if I wanted to fix my shoulder, I would need to pay $4000, and that’s with taxes. I have tried asking family and friends, but do to Covid, they aren’t willing to lend a hand. I have tried applying for a loan, but because I’m new to ‘credits,’ I have no credit history; consequently resulting in me being rejected every time. I don’t have anything to sell and even if /I did, it wouldn’t be anywhere near the $4000 goal. Let’s continue on to how I got my injury and the symptoms I have been experiencing.
The shoulder injury I have is severe, it has changed the way I do things on a regular basis. My injury occurred approximately 2 years ago, January 15, 2019 to be exact. I was working a cleaning/ custodial position for the food service department at the local hospital. I was trying to do 2 things at once, pushing a 3 ton cart while pulling a 4 ton cart; thus, leading to my injury.
I went to the ER immediately where they injected an anti-inflammation shot into the area of injury, turns out I’m allergic to a chemical used in anti-inflammation shots. This led to me losing movement in my upper arm for 2-3 weeks.
I did go to therapy, but it wasn’t much use. No matter what we did, my therapist and I couldn’t lower the pain, besides using cold packs and freeze gel constantly. Overtime my shoulder hasn’t gotten better; in fact, it has gotten worst. Sharp, searing pains will hit me everyday, painful to the point I have to stop what I’m doing. There have also been times where my shoulder to my finger tips will go numb. Recently, there has been constant pain and sometimes I can’t even use my arm.
Overtime, I have learned to deal with the pain, I can do most things with my left hand/arm (the injury was to my right side).
I have undergone numerous MRIs and X-Ray’s, but no one has ben able to pinpoint where the exact location of the injury is. There is a 50% chance the $4000 operation will be successful, but I believe it will be worth it.
I need help, I need the operation before my shoulder/arm injury takes a turn for the worst (to where it may have to be amputated). If you could help me pay, it would be absolutely amazing and life changing.
