My name is Shakita Williams, I am a 38 year old mother of 3. On October 11,2022 I was let go from my job of 3 years as a manager at Haynes Furniture in Virginia. My household went from 2 incomes to 1. As of this moment all bills and rent is up to date except for electricity (Dominion Energy.) As you can see from the photo the full amount due is around $1700. I have set it up so that half of that be paid $874 and the remainder be added on to the following 6 months of bills. This is a very last resort for me as I have literally no one else to ask. Thanksgiving is around the corner, my fear is I will be in the dark. Which also means I would jot be able to cook. Please help my kids and I have a Thanksgiving. All I ask is for $874. I have exhausted all of my local options with social services. Also, I did just acquire a job with UPS seasonally full time for $17 an hour. I have yet to receive my start date. My children and I should receive a donation because it is definitely for a need and not a want. Although this would literally be a hand out, I am a hard worker and will be back on my feet very shortly, so that I would not ever need this again. Please consider my situation above others as there are children involved. Had it not been for them, I would not be asking for anything from anyone. Please help keep my power on for Thanksgiving. If jot for myself, for my 3 children.
