This is my first time doing something like this. Please bear with me and forgive me if I fail to express myself as I should. allow me yo introduce myself, I’m Thavesh from Mauritius and I am seeking help here because I’m out of options.
I have a friend, a sweet lady with a gentle smile and a good heart, who will go out of her to help anyone in need. I have been in a very dark place myself and she helped me get out of there. We have been working together for a couple of years but we lost our jobs when the company closed its doors during the pandemic.
My friend has been married to an abusive man for a over a decade. The man uses her as he pleases and beats her up. I know this because I saw bruises on her many times. She was not willing to say anything at first but one day I managed to convince her to tell me all about it. I was shocked and I tried to help in any way that I could. We went to the authorities but they do not do anything at all. This country has laws which only protect the rich folks. When we contacted their superiors, we found out that the man she is married to, is well acquainted with those people in the higher authority. Legally, there is no way for her to seek any help. I tried to help her by teaching her how to stand to stand for herself but it ended badly for her. I walked the streets during the darkest hours only to find her weeping out of the house, covered in bruises and sometimes bleeding. As a matter of fact, he once broke the bone between her eyes and she required surgery. Her right eyes is now sick and the doctors say that she will eventually lose that eye.
She does not even have the right to have a mobile phone. She used to have one before but that man always kept it with him and monitored everything in it. He always finds an excuse to either keep the phone with him or destroy it. He is a very despicable man and he tried to run me over with his van when he saw me talking to her. My friend’s family and her sibling know all about the way she is living, if you can call that living. It seems that somehow they abandoned her. You have to understand that her parents are old and have their own ‘culture’ and ‘principles’ and my friend is worried because she says that the man will harass her parents if she leaves.
She is all alone out there and it has been a whole year of lockdown. I fear to even imagine what she went through during that period. I want to help her get a new life. She cannot skip town because this is a small country and there will never be enough miles between her and that vile man. I want to help her get away and start a new life abroad. I need $20,000 for this work out. It is the bare minimum needed for her and her son to have a new life and a peaceful one. If you are a woman, you must know how disgusted you will feel if someone you hate is touching you. Nobody deserves this. I beg you people out there, please help her so that she might get the life she deserves and her son gets a chance to grow in a proper environment.
