Hi, this is Anthony and Rachel.
First of all, we would like to thank you for taking the time to consider helping us.
This is very hard for us. We have never asked for help like this before, but we are extremely desperate.
I am a 49 year old disabled white male who has been disabled for 7 years now due to a severe back injury.
My wife Rachel is a breast cancer survivor and is disabled too.
The reason we are asking for help is we are about to be homeless and lose our car.
We cannot pay for doctor visits or the many prescriptions we need.
My teeth are in very bad shape, and I need two root canals plus crowns. That does not even cover my numerous cavities.
It is not due to lack of hygiene. We are very clean people. It is due to years of medication which caused my salivary glands to not work properly. The dry mouth caused severe tooth decay.
Even though I only weigh 185 pounds, I have had type 2 diabetes for over 10 years. The diabetes has gotten worse, causing me to start losing my eyesight with diabetic retinopathy. I also suffer from pain in my hands and feet due to neuropathy.
Rachel stays in constant, debilitating pain from her breast cancer chemotherapy and radiation treatment side effects and the numerous surgeries she has had. She is also type 2 diabetic.
We do not have kids. This was not by choice. It was because my wife got cancer at the young age of 33, so we were not able to have that wonderful experience in our lives. This still breaks our hearts to this day. Please do not hold this against us.
I am trying to the best of my ability to take care of my wife, but our health keeps deteriorating. So we need financial help to get both our living and medical expenses back on track where we don’t have to constantly worry about being homeless nor do we have to choose between our basic needs and our medical needs.
We are pleading with anyone to find it in their hearts to change the lives of two people without any family in this world.
Thank you and God bless you.
