I guess it happens to the best of us.. you think you have everything together and an emergency pops up that gets you behind. Our (my fiance and I) July was horrible. We had a few family emergencies that resulted in paying out more than we expected, and getting to work less than normal. Unfortunately bills don’t care if you have funds available, they still need paid.
We had a death in the family. My fiance’s mom passed away, and she lived over 500 miles away. (image of obituary included for proof) We also had a few other (less severe) family emergencies that all came together to make for a bad situation. My baby niece broke her leg and I had to go spent almost 2 weeks at my brothers house helping them out. That resulted in less work and more money going out for gas and etc. as their house is over an hour away from ours.
Trying to deal with everything we got behind.
I think it is important to help yourself and not just ask for help. We are doing everything we can, but after we pay what we can we won’t have enough for our car payment or groceries or household items (toilet paper, shampoo and etc.) I have cancelled anything not needed to sustain life. We are not paying for any subscriptions or any WANTS. I am only trying to cover basic needs. I am confident that we can sustain things once we get over this hump. We don’t have a lot of excess debt as we try to live within our means. We don’t even have a credit card.
Thank you for any help that you can offer and honestly for even considering sending help our way. Any amount will truly be a blessing! Once we are past this hurdle I have faith that we will be OK, but for now we are in need of help from kind strangers.
Please also know that we WILL pay this forward. We try and help when/where we can, and are big believers in paying it forward. A few months ago we were helping those in need, and this month we are in need.
