Hello all. My name is Zachary Hancher and I am in a pickle that I don’t know how to get out of. I live at 459 Ruth St N with 2 other people. We received a notice to vacate the house because the owner is selling the property. We have no say in the matter. While they have provided us with 75 days, I’m still in a huge pickle.
While I have been living here, I decided to take my finances more seriously. I had racked up debt from my poor undergraduate college days and it got so unbearable to live with that I made the tough choice to file for Bankruptcy. I had a car and a place to live for the foreseeable future and was in the place that I believe I had enough time to not need credit for the next 3 years.
Well, all that changed when my car was sitting in front of my house and was totaled by a hit and run driver. My car was totaled and I am currently carpooling with my roommates. That would be fine except now we are all going to be moving away from living with each other. While they have the means to make a move like that, I don’t. I don’t have transportation to get to my job(something that I hope to be fixing very soon) and I’m not able to find anywhere to live that doesn’t require a huge deposit and first and last months rent. I would take a loan to cover these types of expenses, but I am in the middle of a bankruptcy and literally nobody will provide me with any credit.
I am unable to get a loan, am about to use the little money I do have to pay for a crappy used car and have no way to find somewhere to live.
I have been quoted many times by many different places(the only ones who would accept my credit status at the moment) that I will need a $2500 deposit at least and the first and last months rent up front. I understand that isn’t completely out of the ordinary but I just don’t have that money. I am going to have to leave my house by April 30th and have a new place set up by then.
Im hoping there are good people on here who may be able to help. I am asking for.
$2500 – deposit
$3000-$4000 for the first and last months rent. Anything really does help as I am trying to save as much as I can for these expenses. I would be willing to pay back donations as well if I’m lucky enough to receive any.
The bottom line is that I need help quickly or I don’t know what I’m going to do.
I hope this reaches kind ears and souls. I’m really handcuffed here.
