Hello, reader. My name is David and I’m sort of in tight spot.
I’m from Puerto Rico and this is my very first time resorting to the internet for financial help. I’m not really sure what to expect yet. I’m not even sure if this is the right way to put it, but I’ll try my best.
I’m 22 years old and I’m having trouble paying for my very last college enrollment. I take care of my mom and can’t really afford to spend my earnings to pay college because most of what I earn (which is very little), is usually spent on food and house necessities. My mom used to have a stable job back in the day, but she is mostly disabled now.
The situation hadn’t really gone entirely downhill, until the hurricane happened. It really was as terrible as people say it was. It’s already been well over a year, and yet we still haven’t entirely recovered from it. I’ve survived so far with what I’ve been earning, but there are so many things that I can’t get done because of my small paycheck. I was recently expecting a bigger paycheck than usual since I had to work overtime, but as it turns out, I had been withheld from 10% of my paycheck because of retention tax. And what’s worse, the accountant who handles the checks forgot to withhold the 10% from the previous five checks I had earned, so they had to reduce the amount by a lot this time around. I don’t make enough to pay for my own college (I study Computer Science), and I really do need to finish this trimester if I’m going to graduate as soon as possible so I can get a more stable job. I’m really good at computers and all that stuff behind it so I’m positive I’ll push forward once I have graduated.
All in all, any bit of help would be appreciated a whole lot. If not, I still do appreciate you reading my post.
Thank you for your time!
P.S. the image displays my final classes (I left the basic classes for last so I could focus more on what my bachelor is about).
