I would like to start off by introducing myself. I am a married 32 year old man of 15 years with 3 beautiful children and wouldn’t have made it this far in life without my wife who has kept this family afloat. I had a rough childhood growing up and barely knew my mother that is until she regained custody of me at the age of 13 along with my full blood brother Kelby. Kelby has battled with epilepsy since he was 8. He’s only a year younger than me. I also have 2 half brothers as well. I soon became a mamma’s boy and never quite took growing up seriously. My mother suffered with diabetes and smoking cigarettes caused added health issues. She passed away in March of 2021 from a heart attack at the age of 50. Was out with my children at Chucky Cheese when I got the call. Held her hand till she went. Never got to tell her I love her. Or hear it from her. Just sang to her as I cried watching her vitals dim until they pulled me away from her. 4 immature boys, 8 grandchildren, a husband, and her 21 year old dog now without that person you lean on to help you become the best you can be. Who bought school supplies every year for my children, birthday’s and holidays always celebrated at Nana’s house. Things I took for granted. She was my best friend. Me and her husband Dave put down her dog Toby the following day. We cremated them together and distributed her remains amongst the family. No service was held. No celebration of her life.me and my brothers all took a dark slide. My 3 youngest resorted to drugs as I spent every day and night in a bar drowning. That went on for almost a year. Countless jobs I burned through. I just couldn’t see a point to try anymore. I’ve surrounded myself with bad friends. I’ve allowed most of everything we have worked for over the years to be sold, broken, or taken away. I’ve lost connection with my children not to mention the string of bad luck that tends to surprise us. I feel as if I was only in this state for my Mom. She moved here and I followed convincing my wife to start a new life in another state. That was 12 years ago. Been so depressed without a friend to talk listen. My wife Amy and I don’t communicate mainly because I tend to blow up in anger. We’ve been working on it tho.we lost the only car we had due to our money problems. I know it’s all my fault. Really seeking out a parental figure or just a friend. Maybe starting over away from this city where we can just focus on each other, build good positive encouraging friendships, and enjoy life could be my last chance to prove to my family that I can be a man and support what GOD has blessed me with. I owe it to them and myself to make that change. Just been lost and not sure I’ve said all I’ve wanted to. My family shouldn’t have to pay for my lack of responsibility and I shouldn’t be reaching out for it either. Figured if a complete stranger can see I do want to be someone they are proud of and can wanna look up at and say I’m doing something right or even get an “I love you!” Can’t remember the last time I heard my children say that. So if anyone is reading my story, I pray you want to give a guy an opportunity to fix his family and to set him on a more stable path so he doesn’t end up losing the only true purpose he’s got left and that’s proving to himself he’s worthy of his wife’s love. Meant to be a father and to teach them about this brutal world we live in. And that every day is a gift that we should never take for granted, but remind those that have forgot with a helping hand and pay it forward. The world needs that kind of love. 
My mom and my brothers
