Hello everyone! So, my story is relatively simple. My entire life I have had problems with my teeth, in spite of doing nearly everything to take care of them. I don’t have dental insurance, but a few months ago I was having a lot of pain so I made an appointment with the dentist and he listed all of the things I needed to get done. I started saving up money with the intention of being able to afford the work in six or so months, but the nerve pain I’m experiencing at the moment is unreal. Eating is almost impossible and I honestly can’t wait that long. I need two root canals (with a cap and crown), an extraction, and one cavity filled. I also need a dental implant but it’s not nearly as urgent. If you’ve ever experienced severe dental pain, you know exactly how debilitating it is. I was up all last night with warm compresses on my face and was THIS CLOSE to grabbing a pair of pliars and ripping out the problem teeth. I’m not particularly proud of asking strangers for money, but I’m honestly in too much pain to care. I’ve been popping Advil like they’re candy and applying clove oil, but it just barely takes the edge off.
I would be beyond grateful to receive donations that would help me fix my teeth. I just finished school and am currently looking for full-time work. My number one priority is to find an employer that offers dental insurance, but everyone knows how few and far between those are. In any case, I can’t wait that long.
The costs associated with this procedure would be around $4000. The two root canals with a cap and crown alone are $1500 a piece. The cavity is $200 to fill and the extraction is $800. Extractions aren’t typically that expensive, but it’s impacted and I need general anesthesia to have it removed. Going to the dentist is a massive source of anxiety for me, but I’m going to have to suck it up and just do it. Honestly, at this point, I would RUN to the dentist and throw my money at them if it meant that these problem teeth would be dealt with.
I honestly can’t express my gratitude enough to those who choose to donate. It would mean the world to me. The relief that would come from having the nerve pain go away would be phenomenal.
