Thursday, July 27th started out as just another day. Up early with did my early morning walk before getting ready for work.
I was traveling eastbound toward the office. From the westbound side, with the median in the highway, the driver on the other side decided to make a U-turn into the left lane where I was driving. Because this was an intersection, the driver stopped in my lane as there was another car entering the eastbound lane turning into the right lane. There was no time to brake or stop. I slammed into the at-fault driver.
My car was totaled (see pictures)!
I spent the rest of the first day getting my car towed home and then in urgent care and sent to the local emergency room. Since the day of the accident, I have been going to multiple medical visits with X-rays, CT, and MRI scans. I have ongoing appointments for chiropractic care and soon will be seen by a neurologist.
I am requesting the assistance of this community because of the out-of-pocket expense I must incur due to this accident. Since the car was totaled, the driver’s insurance company will only cover the total loss cost, not the rental car. I have paid out $939.94 so far in rental car costs as I worked to get another car.
To make matters worse, there is a remaining balance on the car loan. After the insurance pays their total loss amount, I will be left with a loan balance of $6,515.22 for a car I no longer have.
I am requesting as much help as the members of this community can provide to help me cover the amount of $7,455.16. There is no way in my current financial situation that I can cover these expenses.
For all of you that may donate to this request for help, I thank you. If you have ever been in a car crash, you know how your world can get turned upside down. If have not been in a car accident, I’m sure you know someone who has and has heard the struggle it is to get life back to being normal despite any lifelong pain you suffer as the result of an accident.
