I am Rochelle Walker and I am writing in behalf of my financial situation pertaining to the purchase of my new car. First, let me tell you a little about myself. I currently work at a juvenile center as an Administrative Assistant. This may pose the question if you’re employed, why do you need help? Well my job does pair fairly well only downfall to the pay though, is that it’s once a month. In 2017 I was injured in a bad car accident at no fault of my own. As a result I was off work for a month and accrued several medical bills. I pretty much have been living from paycheck to paycheck every since. When yourey behind getting paid once a month just barely keeps your head above water. I am not asking for a handout, just for some help. Now back to the purchase of my new car I had to get a new car because the car I got after my accident, an 2008 Nissan Altima that I was paying 525.00 a month for, was about to quit. When I decided to purchase the new vehicle I was very excited, however that would be short lived. I had had the new car for a week and the brakes were not making a terrible sound, but enough sound to pay attention to. So that following week I take the car back to Overdrive Automotive where I purchased it and asked them to look at it. In all of five minutes they came back and told me it was probably just brake dust. I was not satisfied with that so I insisted that they actually checked the brakes. They agreed and scheduled for me to come back the following Saturday at 9 am. Got there and they got me in fairly quick. After supposedly inspecting the vehicle they come back and say it’s not the brake pads, they just need to rotate the back rotors. So they did that and about a week later the problem started again. Also after purchasing the car I noticed that 2 of the rims are bent and are rubbing into the tire. I work in a different city which is 80 miles round-trip which equals 400 miles a week, so I definitely need good brakes and tires. They are giving me the run-around about fixing the car and its quite frustrating. I am asking for 2500.00 that would be used for getting all the issues with the car fixed and tag the vehicle. The tagging of the vehicle was delayed because it has taken them two months to get the title. In closing 16,300 is a lot of money to have to pay for a car that’s already requiring repairs. I have not even had the car long enough to put wear and tear on it. Long story short without a vehicle I will lose my job. I pray that you see my need and consider helping me out. I would be so appreciative and humbled.
