My husband works very hard at a full time job that he has to commute to on the weekdays. He gets up at 2 am every morning and drives for over an hour each way to get to and from work. Because of this, he had a 2005 Honda Civic that he would use as his commuter car. This was also his only car. At 270,000+ miles, after 6 years of driving it and many repairs, it was finally no longer viable to drive.
He then purchased a 2008 Scion TC for $3000 that ended up being salvaged and illegally sold to him by someone who did not put their name on the title. We learned our lesson and now know the proper way to check this ahead of time. Unfortunately, after 8 months of driving this car, and many repairs along the way, it developed an engine problem that was too costly to fix, as the car was not even worth the amount that it would cost and we knew it would continue to have problems. So now he is without a car to get to work, and he did not recoup much money from either of those two cars. We know that we have to spend a little bit more money on the car this time to make sure that it is reliable for many years.
He has been working at his company for about 6 years and has worked his way through night school for 5 years of this time. This schedule consisted of him waking up at 2am for work and returning home at 10pm. He just recently graduated, and they have been giving him the responsibilities of a foreman without the pay increase for a few years. Also a foreman would receive a company truck. They are purposely not promoting him we think due to cutting costs on the job, and also they expressed concerns about how far away we live from the job. We live as close as we can afford to the location that he works.
The other issue is that I have been disabled since 2008, and have had full time jobs off and on since then. In 2014, I had to quit my full time job due to my symptoms becoming too difficult to work with. I attempted to get a part time job last year, and had to quit after 3 months due to intense pain and not being able to go to work. It makes me very frustrated that I can’t work, as I have always enjoyed working and every day I wake up and ask myself if I feel well enough to get back into working, while applying for jobs, and unfortunately my symptoms are so bad most of the time that I do not feel that I can leave the house. This is a very depressing situation for me. I wish I could work right now. I wish I could help my husband financially. We try to help our families when we can, and unfortunately they cannot help us financially.
Any help that you can give would be amazing. We have never asked for help from anyone before. I always wish and meditate on love for the world, because that is all I can give right now, we have also adopted/rescued 3 cats and 1 dog over the past few years because helping animals is one of our passions, and it would be a miracle and a blessing if we could receive financial assistance with this situation. Thank you so much, I wish you amazing karma and love always<3
