I am writing this in hopes of getting help with buying a car. Even with these terribly high gas prices, a car is a necessity in this day and age in most places and especially in the area I live in. I’ve been working steadily since the pandemic started back in 2020 and have always done whatever is necessary to stay afloat. That is until April 2022. I got the car in January of 2020 but it needed a new engine by September of 2020. I began working for Shipt and absolutely loved it. My car was a little champion back then. I then started doing Covid contact tracing in 2021 for the County Health Department and was there for several months. I had no issues with the car during this time. Then, a great opportunity arose to do Covid testing on various cruise ships for several more months. So, I jumped at the opportunity. In February of 2022, my car started having issues to where I was constantly paying to see what was wrong with it every couple of weeks when I was on land. In March of 2022, my car finally died and I didn’t want or have the urge anymore to continue sinking money into a vehicle that did not want to be fixed. So, I let the junkyard take it because I wasn’t able to sell it due to it not being able to start. When I came off the ship in April, it was to pursue working from home/start a business. I also wanted to avoid Covid as much as possible. Three months later and here I am. I still cannot find a work-from-home job and I’ve been unable to bring in any income. My credit has since taken a hit drastically and my savings has been depleted. I’ve even had to apply for food and rental assistance. Public transportation is not reliable enough for me to apply for a local job and that is why I really need to get my own car. I only found this website because I was googling “ways to make money today”. Friends and family have assisted however they could. I can’t get a car loan because my credit is poor and I have no proof of income. I know once I get some help I will be fine. I just need a bit of assistance. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
