First and foremost, thanks to all of our
contributors your support is
Hello, we are a young couple (31 & 28) who have been trying desperately to move forward and start fresh. My name is Cory, I am a 31 year old male who admittedly has had issues with making the “right” decisions in my adulthood. Madeline is my absolutely wonderful partner who also has made a wrong turn or two. Having simultaneously hit”Rock Bottom” pretty hard we somehow found each other whereas feelings quickly developed between us. Now that you have a general idea of the “Who” I urge you to read on and learn the “What”. Since meeting we’ve come to realize that attempting to support ourselves individually left us overwhelmingly exhausted and our progress increased rapidly when looking out for 9be another as a whole. So, our journey upwards began by successfully managing to remove ourselves from those who continued to hold us back as effectively as any Ball’n Chain and starting anew. Our progress thus far has delivered us from the day to day struggles of life in a tent, not knowing when or where our next meal would come from or where we might acquire clothing that fit, fearing the upcoming winter. After nearly 2yrs of grinding and saving, doing whatever work I could through the days and collecting recyclables by night we found light at the end of the tunnel with the purchase of an ’85 Rockwood 35ft motorhome. This is our shimmering ray of hope and since the start of the COVID-19 threat, the only thing separating us from once again living on the streets. Therefore, I devote my near constant attention to ensure its survival. Prior to the pandemic, I would accept any work I could find that was within my abilities. Unfortunately, as of late work has scarcely been made available! On the other hand, Maddi dedicated herself and her time working to build up inventory for her precious handmade jewelry business as she is an aspiring artist and jeweler. That hopefully gives substantial knowledge of “What”. Now I can finally describe to you the need. Unfortunately, our savings were very limited and we were left with repairs for which we could not afford. You now know the “Need” that coincides with the “Who” and “What” leaving only the “Why”. Once armed with the needed funding paired with my ability and drive to prevail, the necessary repairs will be completed in whole. Afterwards, our hopes are to leave, once and for all the land of which has held us down for so long and experience what wonders the open roads could instil within us and eventually our journey will end in sunny southern Florida where by coincidence we both have family of whom would love nothing more than to reunite with us. This is only the beginning of our happily ever after and with your generosity we could surely make it happen without fail!
WIth much thanks, Cory & Maddi
