I’m sure I’m not the only one having a rough time, and I’m definitely not the worst off. I’ve seen this website before, and I still didn’t want to write, but now I’m stuck in a position where I feel extremely hopeless. December of 2017, I found out I was pregnant with my beautiful daughter. Mid 2018, before she was born, her father and I purchased a car because our current car was on its’ last leg, and our current car was used as our down payment, as we wanted to make sure our daughter came into the world in a safe vehicle, hindsight is that, well, that was a bad idea. Our car payment and insurance ended up being $600+ due to being under 25 with less than ideal credit. That toppled into credit card debt, trying and succeeding at barely staying afloat but still unable to make our $388 car payment. Well, last night, our car was repossessed and this morning when I tried to leave for an interview, I was left with no other option but to cancel. Like I said, we aren’t the worse off, but my staying home with our child and her dad constantly saying “I got this” isn’t working anymore. We no longer have a car unless we can pay over $2000 to Toyota as well as the repossession place they used. Honestly, we could use more to help with bills and fixing our credit card bills and to cushion us for a little while we both find stable jobs (I was a stay at home mom and he did Doordash, Ubereats, Postmates, etc., for 12+ hours a day) and such. If possible, I’m asking for $5,000-$7,000 to help us out so we can finally stand on our own again and give our daughter a good life. But, we only really need about $2500 to help us get our car back. Thank you so much to anyone willing to help. I know this was a long read, but if it means that my daughter doesn’t have to be homeless, I’m willing to put aside pride.
