Hi, my name is Arianna and I am 18 years old. I am a freshman year college nursing student. I am paying for college on my own. My parents do not assist me in paying for my tuition, books, or supplies. I work 30-40 hours a week to pay my bills and go to school full time. The only thing I do not pay is rent as I live at home with my mom, although all I truly am ever home for is to sleep, shower, and change my clothes. I received a lot of scholarship and grant money but I still had to take $5500 out for the year in loans. My car is falling apart and is my only mode of transportation. The brakes need work. I need new tires. The check engine light comes on and off regularly. The inside door handle is broken on the drivers side. The drivers side seat is stuck in its current position and the car is as old as me. I have put a decent amount into the car but I can not afford to have an unreliable car between my classes and working. I can not afford the insurance for a car with a car payment so I am saving up to buy a newer car in full but I do not know how long I have until my car dies out on me. I could really use the assistance to buy a new to me car so I do not end up stranded trying to get from point A to point B. My goal is to buy a $5000 car with no more than 150K miles on it and no older than 2005. I have some money put away so far but far from enough. I can not work more hours than I already do and maintain the GPA necessary to maintain one of the scholarships I received which pays for a good deal of my tuition. I have been saving but at the rate I can afford to save it would take me more time than I have left with my car. I believe I will need a new car by March but I know I will not be able to get enough money saved in time to even come close to be able to buy a car that did not have all the issues I am having with my current car. I appreciate every donation in advanced and thank you !
