We are a team of two 17-year-old high school students, hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area. We have both been interested in cars, mainly taking them apart and modifying them, from very young ages. Now that we’re a bit older and have more freedom, we decided that we want to move away from working on our families’ and friends’ cars and open our own mechanic shop where we can customize and restore cars at our own will. We’ve tried this in the past, but the fact that we are in high school combined with the severe monetary limitations that come with that, have proven this to be a difficult task. Having the funding to open a shop of our own where we can give back to the communities that have given so much to us would be, though it sounds sappy, quite a dream come true.
W has been interested in cars from a very young age, though he never acted on those interests until recently when he realized that he wanted to turn mechanics and car modification into a career. He has experience with mechanics and hardware, as well as programming and computer science. Recently, he began pursuing his interests in cars by conducting extensive research and planning out several cars that he’d like to construct and modify in the future, as well as helping family members and friends repair their vehicles.
C has been raised in a family of hobbyist automotive engineers. He has been building and playing with cars since before he could walk. After years of working on contract as a mechanic in a few different shops, he decided it was time to build a company of his own. He has extensive experience in automotive and electrical engineering, as well as years of behind-the-wheel track experience. He wants to build a company in which he can build and modify cars in his own vision, hopefully shaping or revolutionizing a part of the auto industry.
Our shop will be located in W’s garage space and it’s accompanying patio area. We are asking for your generous donations so that we can afford the equipment that is necessary for extensive modification as well as a vehicle to start out with as our first project. Instead of merely repairing cars, we plan on purchasing cars that are broken down, repairing and modifying them, then selling them once we’re proud of their condition. We have decided that our first project will be a Mitsubishi Eclipse Convertible, a car which has parts readily available online and can also be found for reasonable prices online.
With your help, we can make this dream into reality. Your donations mean the world to us as we will not be able to realize our goals without your help.
