In His Image Outreach or Belton started in my home in 1999. I wanted to help children ages 3-5 who had development delays by preparing them for school. After I started the program, I decided to home school my own children . Parents from the school where I was teaching at asked if I could started a school so I researched and began TCES in 2004. A parent from a local church heard out us and asked if his child could attend because he had been expelled from school for having marijuana on campus. We decided to help the child, and it was a success story that allowed us to get into a local church in Anderson SC. Our cap has been 10 students due to the cost of services. We were at the church until 2017 when they experienced a change in Pastors. The new Pastor decided that In His Image should become their church and dissolve. After consideration, we decided that we would take an offer of a friend who had a skating rink and start to provide services there. We went to the city, got approved. The city came back in April and said that we could no longer operate unless we brought the building up to code. They were not specific except for telling us that we needed an architect design. We found a generous architect who did help us, but the city rejected his suggestions for the building and said that we still need a fire sprinkling system. We already knew that we needed roof repair, new bathrooms, firewalls, and flooring. The lowest contractor is saying the total cost will be $300,000. We have 100 student who will be affected if we can’t raise the money for our church/school. Our organization is 501 c 3 and we are asking for your help. Help us save our building. The picture is of how our building looks after clean up at a launch of one of our alumni business launchings. Thank you in advance.
